writing

A real love of mine is writing scripts for a variety of different projects - from speeches and presentations, to short films and spec scripts. There's so much fun in developing voice, rhythm, and structure for clients of all kinds.

cyrano_2.0

One of my most recent projects was working on the sci-fi rom-com cyrano_2.0 for the Buffalo 48 Hour Film Project. It was a fun challenge to write a story where dialogue between love interests gets exchanged second-hand, driving the movie's story and fast pace.

This was a script written at the National Puppetry Conference at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center during Ronnie Burkett's Text Manipulation & Interpretation strand.

Sesame Street Spec Scripts

In 2015, I was lucky enough to meet for a writer's position for Sesame Street. Two scripts I prepared were a Word of the Day sketch for Grover & Stephen Colbert, as well as The Unbreakable Prairie Dawn, a parody of Tina Fey's Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt which had premiered a month prior to the interview.

Hosting TEDxBuffalo

In 2015 and 2016, I was the emcee and host of TEDxBuffalo. Each year I wrote stand up comedy and songs to kick off the night and keep the crowd excited for each presentation.

Daemen Day of Giving 2021

I have a good deal of experience as a script and speech writer non-profit marketing/fundraising. The piece above is one such promotional video that I also produced.
